Getting Ready to Go

Like any long distance hike, this one started with about six months if prep work. Building the hike plan, acquiring and packing all the food and resupply boxes. Getting the equipment ready and packed and getting life in order too the point you can take 5 months off and not have everything fall apart while you are gone.
Well, all that is behind me now and in 48 hours I will take my first steps northbound on an epic adventure along the PCT. Unlike the AT, which I was blessed to do with my son, this hike I am going solo. I understand it makes it a more introspective experience - guess I will find out. As I learned last hike, I am never really alone as I have my faith to keep me company when the strange noises start outside my tent at night :).
There are not as many towns or hostels along the PCT so updates will be every 10 days to two weeks. Will post pictures and experiences as often as I can so those who are interested can follow
